BunayorumumBot — Data Access Notice

Who we are

Bunayorumum.net is a Turkey-based SaaS platform that analyzes second-hand car and motorcycle listings with AI and gives its users a consumer-focused research report (risk signals, negotiation points, market comparison). Our bot identifies itself openly in every request and points to this notice.

What access do we perform?

For the sake of honesty, we break our access down by type. None of it aims to copy the source platform's raw listing database, republish it, or build a competing listings directory:

• 1) User-requested listing analysis (core service): A single listing URL that a user pastes from their own browser is read before the AI analysis. The listing content is processed only for that user's report; the result is cached for 5 days (120 hours), so the same listing does not generate repeated traffic over days.
• 2) Statistical price index (for analysis): To answer "is this price fair versus the market?", the relevant model/engine search results page (filtered by a year and mileage window) is read, and a median / quartile (p25-p75) is computed from the displayed price points. This is a statistical summary: it does not store or republish individual listings; it is limited to ~50 price points per query and is cached.
• 3) Taxonomy / metadata normalization (one-time, limited): We read brand → model → engine → trim names and listing counts to build a single normalization dictionary (lookup table). This is metadata only (the platform's own category names and facet counts): no listing content, price, photo or personal data is stored. It is low-frequency and limited in scope (annual facelift / new-model updates).
• 4) Dealer/professional market research (paid, limited): To help our verified dealer members find listings matching their own buying criteria, search results are scanned in a user-initiated and quota-limited way. This is not bulk/continuous directory crawling; per-platform concurrency and rate limits apply.

What we do NOT do

• We do not copy your raw listing database to build our own listings directory.
• We do not republish/sell individual listings without attribution.
• We do not access content behind a login/paywall, and we do not bypass any session/login wall.
• We do not collect listing owners' personal data; in the single image we display, fields such as license plate/phone are masked as required by KVKK (Turkish data protection law).
• We do not generate bot-type traffic at a volume that would strain your servers.

Our technical safeguards

• Open identity: Every request sends User-Agent: BunayorumumBot/1.0 (+https://bunayorumum.net/scraper-info): we do not hide.
• Rate limit: A cap of 100 requests per hour per user IP; plus per-platform concurrency and cooldown limits.
• Caching: Listing and price results are cached for up to 5 days, so repeated queries generate no new traffic to your servers.
• Limited sampling: ~50 points per query in the price index; no deep pagination / infinite crawl.

Legal position

Our access activity is carried out in line with the following principles of Turkish law:

• TCO Art. 2 (Rule of Good Faith): We process content for AI commentary; we do not resell or distribute the raw database.
• Value creation: The report produced (AI-interpreted analysis + statistical market comparison) is a new service the source platforms do not offer. It provides added value to the consumer rather than unfairly exploiting another's effort.
• Law No. 5846 (FSEK) Additional Article 8: Database protection depends on the threshold of "extraction of a substantial part"; metadata normalization (category names + counts) and single-URL user requests do not cross that threshold.
• Law No. 6502 (TKHK) Art. 5: Our users (consumers) exercise their own right to research; we fulfill that request acting as their agent.

Good-faith statement and call for agreement

Our goal is not to have a dispute with you, but to respect your rights while adding value for consumers. We publish this page to be open rather than hidden, and to keep the door to dialogue ajar from the start. If you are an official of a platform and have any concern, request or objection about our access, please talk to us before taking any legal step. We respond in good faith and quickly to every official who comes in good faith; we sincerely believe we can find a solution both sides are happy with, including an official partnership, API access, licensing, or reworking the scope of our access together with you. Our priority is an honest agreement, not litigation.

Robots.txt and ToS compliance

We respect the robots.txt files of the platforms we access and take care not to enter systematic directory/search sections. If we cannot reach an agreement and you ask us to stop our access, we undertake to comply with your request within a reasonable time. But we see this as a last resort: our priority is not to close the door, but to find a way together.
